Computer Science - Introduction
Computing is taught to all Years 7, 8 and 9 students and all students have 1 hour of teaching per week. Computing in the lower years encourages all students to develop their understanding of how computers work, to be able to create computer programs, to become safe and effective digital citizens and to increase their knowledge in a variety of applications.
At KS4 all students are taught ICT for 3 hours per fortnight, which will lead to a Cambridge Nationals qualification. In addition students have the option to choose Computing for 5 hours per fortnight as a GCSE subject.
