Information Technology - Introduction
Computing is taught to all Key Stage 3 students and all students have 1 hour of teaching per week. Computing at KS3 encourages all students to develop their understanding of how computers work, to be able to create computer programs, to become safe and effective digital citizens and to increase their knowledge in a variety of applications.
At Key Stage 4 students have the option of following GCSE Computer Science or an ICT qualification equivalent to a GCSE. These optional subjects will be timetabled as five hours over a fortnight.
