PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – BE RESPONSIBLE – SUPPORT EACH OTHER
Following the announcement from the Government that school closure will not be "an educational setting" but a "safe place" for critical workers to leave their children and the publication of the ‘key worker’ list, we need to collect details of which families fall into this group so we can plan accordingly.

Following the recent change of advice regarding self-isolation from 14 days to 10 days, we are updating you on the return to school for the Year 10 students.
A number of parents have been in contact to clarify the situation.
We have contacted Essex Test & Trace for specific advice based on the context of the school taking into account our knowledge of the students who are waiting for covid-19 test results or self-isolating.
Therefore, until we receive specific advice, at the current time Year 10 students will not be expected to attend school on Tuesday 15 December.
However, if following advice from Essex Test & Trace, students may be expected to return to school later in the week.
We will update you as soon as we have the information.
Our apologies for not being able to provide you with a more definitive decision at this time.

We appreciate the challenging circumstances at the current time but we have to encourage you to ensure your child attends school.
If any student is required to be absent from school due to any restrictions linked to COVID, work will be supplied and their absence will be authorised.
However, if you choose not to send your child to school we will not supply work and absence will be unauthorised.

URGENT: we have just received notification from the DFE:
'We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.
We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately'.
