Take a bow Ramsey College for a very impressive Winter Concert! Aided by Halstead Empire Theatre staff, Martyn & Dan even provided snow & bubbles, everything about this show was of a very high quality, from Miss Patching’s slick stage managers onwards.

I was thrilled to see  music teacher, Miss Emms, conducting a smartly-uniformed, mixed choir, not an easy feat. Its soloists were impeccable, various Valeries & Ella Berkane in the Coldplay number & my beaming-faced, star of the night, Terry Shortt, in the Gary Barlow heart-breaker.

Charismatic Anthony Atlee & fine singer & guitarist, Chloe Hawes, singly & together, went down a storm. Bailey Hamilton & his backing troupe did Shakin’ Stevens proud. Bobby Alwin, Lucy Cook & Louise Wells harmonised delightfully& James Burrage’s Adele thrilled us.

James Abbott, Sophie Dennison, Rebecca Neale, Kieran Collins, Alex Reid, Megan Rhodes, Lost 4 Words & talented alumni Abigail Cunliffe, Tom Smith & Georgia Briggs, gave of their best too.

Headteacher, Dan Gee, was spot-on to complete a magical night.
