Firstly, we are delighted to announce the launch of a new initiative, a joint collaboration with The Black Farmer to provide diversity in the food and farming sector.
Our ‘New Faces for Farming’ Residential School will take place on the evening of 31st March until 2nd April and is a fully expensed, residential camp for young people aged 16-18 who reside in the UK and who are in Year 12 or 13 (or FE Y1 & Y2) and interested in a career in farming, but perhaps not from a traditional agricultural background.
New Faces for Farming will be held at our countryside campus, near Chelmsford in Essex and will offer teenagers a taste of farm life and provide opportunities to think about a career in this sector. More details and the application form can be found here. Students are highly advised to apply early to be in with a chance of securing a space. Please can you promote this to your students as widely as possible to encourage participation.
