Literacy is a very important aspect of life at The Ramsey Academy, Halstead. Without it, no learning can take place in any subject, not to mention its importance as a life skill in the wider world. 

Literacy Leaders from across the year groups apply, and are appointed, to the important roles of supporting literacy, including wide reading. Today students from Year 8 received their Literacy Leader badges and met briefly with English Link Governor, Jennie Sutton. We look forward to their work in raising awareness and standards of literacy in the academy.
