Up to 20 volunteers from Years 9 and 10 will be acting as Digital Ambassadors in the local community as part of the Greenfields Community Housing initiative called Community Connect.

The first meeting between residents and students took place on Thursday 15 October at a tea party, where introductions were made. Subsequent meetings will focus on the students helping the residents to develop skills and confidence to use a variety of technologies, from searching the internet to on-line shopping and using social media. The students will benefit from developing independent and interpersonal skills as well as contributing towards their outcomes in the Ramsey Achievement and Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
