Sports Day was a huge success, with students from all year groups participating in a variety of different sports throughout the day. During periods 1-4 students competed in the following sports: netball, football, table tennis and a gym challenge. In each lesson other students watched the events and gave their support to their teams. In the afternoon, during period 5, the relays took place and the whole school came out to watch.
Each house was lead by the newly elected Sports Captains. All years showed their support and encouragement for both their house team and individuals. The overall winners of the day were Diversity House with a total score of 120 points, second place was Aspiration House with a score of 117 and in third was Endeavour House with a total of 114 points.
Sports day is a great way of bringing people together from all year groups. It allows students to work together in teams and build leadership skills; it also helps to encourage and inspire the younger students to participate in sport.
