Two Year 7 Physical Education classes had the pleasure of meeting and playing cricket with the stars of the South American side who won the ICC World Cup League Division 6 event held in Essex.

The whole team took time out of their schedule to visit the Ramsey Academy. During their visit the players joined in with a number of games of cricket and offered some batting, bowling and fielding tips to the Ramsey Academy Year 7 students.
Students, staff and the Suriname squad all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The students were extremely inspired and motivated by visit and we were especially pleased the team went on to win the competition.

We are now hoping to keep in contact with the team and follow their progression in future competitions. We would like to thank Graham Pryke and Essex County Cricket for organising the event and giving our students the opportunity to rub shoulders with extremely motivating elite sportsman.
